DESCRIPTION:No Controls No Coverage – Shifting Cyber Landscape\n\n\nJoin RIMS Washington and Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Technology for Snohomish County\, WA and Cyber Underwriting Leader for the West and Midwest of Chubb as we discuss the realities of today’s shifting landscape\, provide an update on current cyber control trends\, emerging risks and identify key considerations for the path forward. Discussion will include rising cybersecurity threats\, impact of digital transformation and legislative and regulatory changes and the future outlook on controls. \nThis course is approved by the Washington Office of Insurance Commissioner for 1 hour of CE credit. Registration is limited to 25 attendees. If your plans change and you can no longer attend\, please email admin@warims.org. \nOur Presenters: \n\nViggo Forde\, Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Technology – Snohomish County\, WA\n\nViggo Forde serves as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Technology for Snohomish County\, WA.  Prior to joining Snohomish County\, he had a long career at Microsoft; his last role was as a Senior Director in Customer Service and Support leading the design and implementation of policy\, systems and operating model design and implementation in large global transformation programs.  He also brings experience from Amazon.com where he defined and led global knowledge management and localization of knowledge and information for Amazon Sellers across all Amazon.com global marketplaces\, as well as Boeing early in his career.In addition to his professional career\, Viggo is the Consul of Norway to the States of Washington\, Oregon\, Montana\, and Idaho where he serves as a conduit for connecting Norwegian business and government into local entities\, as well as providing consular services in the Pacific Northwest.  He has provided assistance to multiple non-profit organizations and is a board member of the National Nordic Museum\, the University of Washington Scandinavian Studies Department\, the University of Washington Industrial and Systems Engineering Executive Advisory Board\, and the Seattle chapter of the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in America.  He holds a masters and bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Washington.\n\n\nGara Lander\, Senior Vice President – Chubb\n\nGara is a Senior Vice President at Chubb and manages  a team of  underwriters for the Pacific  and Midwest Region.
